Brasov From the German Kronstadt to the city of Stalin

Gothic spires, medieval gateways, and a huge Hollywood-style sign: Braşov’s skyline is instantly compelling.

A number of medieval watchtowers still glower over the town. Between them sparkle baroque buildings and churches, while easy-going cafes line the main square – Council Square. One of the attractions not to be missed in here is The Black Church, the biggest Lutheran church, constructed in gothic style on the route between Vienna and Istanbul.
