MALDAR Maldaresti, Valcea County, Romania
Măldăr’s Manor is an 18th century fortified house that has been converted into a hotel – a fine example of southern Romania’s traditional architecture and decoration.
After the restoration works in 2006, Măldăr’s manor house now has white walls and corss beam ceilings, sturdy wood furniture with handmade textiles, all of them bringing ‘the flavour of a boyar country house’ to the present day.
With the addition of high-standard comfort, delicious food, charming hosts, a generous garden and clean country air, the place becomes a perfect destination for relaxation and a short journey back in time.
