Why Romania? Because it’s one of the most beautiful countries in Eastern Europe. No jurney to Eastern Europe would be complete without paying a visit here.

You will cross the country long and wide to reach the most beautiful places, most of them part of UNESCO patrimony.

From the Danube Delta where you will discover the Romanian wildlife to Bucovina known for its painted monasteries, unique for the exterior frescoes painted up to the isolated region of Maramures to admire the most spectacular wooden churches and to discover the unique ‘Merry Cemetery’, famous for the colourfully painted wooden crosses. Of course we will not miss the legendary land of famous Dracula vampire, Transylvania and the capital city of the country, Bucharest.

The locals, the culture and traditions, the delicious food, the legends and the landscapes are the special ingredients that will make your vacation one of the most memorable experiences.

Day 1: BUCHAREST

Bine ati venit! In other words be officially welcomed to Bucharest by our local guide who will make sure you have a lovely stay in Romania. Have a short introductory tour of the capital and enjoy the rest of the afternoon. Overnight in Bucharest.

Day 2: BUCHAREST - TULCEA

Travel to Tulcea for an out of this world cruise on the mysterious Danube Delta and discover its canals and marshes along with its biodiversity for which was included in the Unesco World Heritage list. Enjoy a delicious fish menu meal and return to city of Tulcea for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: TULCEA - IASI
Day 4: IASI - MARGINEA - SUCEVITA - VORONET - GURA HUMORULUI

Today is all about discovering the mysteries of painted churches of Bukovina. Take a break in Marginea for lunch and discover the manufacture process of the famous black pottery. Dinner and overnight in Gura Humorului.

Day 5: GURA HUMORULUI - COLIBITA - BISTRITA - SIGHETUL MARMATIEI

Get ready to discover another beautiful region of Romania called Maramures. This day we’ll take you to Tihuta Pass, the place where Jonathan Harker, main character in Bram Stoker’s novel, ‘Dracula’ is expected by Count Dracula’s carriage to be taken to this castle in the Charpatian montains.

Stop for lunch on the way to Bistrita at the beautiful Colibita Lake and finish the day in Sighetul Marmatiei for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: SIGHETUL MARMATIEI

Travel back in time with Mocanita, a steam train which take you through the picturesque landscapes of Maramures.

In the second part of the day visit the famous Wooden Church of Barsana, part of Unesco World Heritage and finish the day in Sapanta to see a very unusual cemetery.

Return to Sighetul Marmatiei for dinner and overnight.

Day 7: SIGHETUL MARMATIEI - CLUJ NAPOCA
Day 8: CLUJ NAPOCA - TURDA - ALBA IULIA - SIBIU

Be prepared to discover what “National Geographic” called the “underground world”, Turda Saltmine and continue afterwords to Alba-Iulia and its seven pointed star shaped citadel.

End the day in Sibiu, the European Capital of Culture in 2007 and European Capital of Gastronomy in 2019.

Day 9: SIBIU - SIGHISOARA - BRASOV

Today is all about discovering three of the most beautiful Saxon built citadels in Transylvania, including Sighisoara, the Unesco World Heritage city listed for its amazing preservation since medieval times.

Day 10: BRASOV - BRAN - SINAIA - BUCHAREST

We saved the best for last with a tour of the two most visited castles in Romania, Peles Castle – the summer residence of Romania’s Kings and last but not least, the legendary castle of Dracula. Bran Castle, its official name, is certainly the most famous and the most visited castle in Romania.

Return to Bucharest for dinner and overnight and, most importantly, don’t forget to count the beautiful memories made in Romania.
